McCall's 1974 Recipe Card Collection Great American
McCall's Great American Recipe Card Collection pictured here is a collection from 1974 of over 450 very colorful sturdy recipe cards organized neatly in an off white and clear file box decorated with an American eagle surrounded by a collage of food. It's a piece of history in a box! Oh my! The pictures! They are wonderful! Each card features a colorful (and sometimes entertaining) picture of the dish whose recipe appears on the back of the card. The pictures give ideas on presenting the dish and decorating ideas for the table etc! This recipe collection is extensive so, for ease of use, it comes with an index allowing you to locate any recipe quickly and easily. The collection is dated 1974 and it includes recipes in these categories: Our Rich Heritage, Our Famous Restaurants, Sundays at Home, Saturday Night Parties, Our Italian Heritage, The Southwest, New England, The French Touch, Budget Stretchers, The Old South, Holidays, Low-Calorie Dishes, Country Fairs, Children's Favorites, Contemporary Cooking, Do-Ahead Dishes, Memorable Summer Meals, Creole Country, The Midwest, Cooking with Wine, Cooking with Herbs, A Worldwide Medley, The Pacific Coast and Party Casseroles. All of the cards are in excellent, clean, unbent condition and the box is in good vintage condition with only a few minor scuffs on the front clear plastic. If you like to just browse recipes like my mother, or sample exotic dishes or like the old standbys, this one's for everyone. The previous owner placed half a dozen calendar pages from 1976 in the box as well. Each calendar page features a recipe like "Holiday Supper for Sweethearts"-December 1976. The calendar was "Courtesy of Green Giant Company". Wonderful recipe collection for you or to give to that person you know would just love it!
The file and contents are heavy so I am suggesting shipping it USPS parcel post. Contact me if you would like another option.
