These two vintage cabinet spice glass jars were made in the early 1900's and come with the original lids which open/close with a knob that operates a sliding closure. The lids are in good vintage condition and open/close and twist on and off easily. The lids have some denting and discoloration which is normal for their age. The jars are 4 7/8" tall and 2 1/2" in diameter. The glass is very interesting because it has many characteristics of older glass. You can see clear bubbles in both jars and one jar has several foreign specks which were captured in the glass at the time of manufacturing. The glass is in excellent vintage condition. There is light wear on the bottoms and one jar has some very small chips on the inside rim which cover about 1/5th of the rim area. One jar has no marking on the bottom and one has a 4 and then two slash marks (//). Very nice operable jars of this period. Examine pictures well to appreciate!
