Vintage Needlepoint Picture with House and Landscape Scene Circa 1977

This vintage circa 1977 handmade needle point picture was done by a very skilled worker and has been professionally framed by Roy's Gallery and Framing here in Lawrence, Kansas. I purchased the piece at an estate sale and was told that the owner did this needle point in the late 70's. The frame is made of a medium dark hardwood and is very solid, no wobbling whatsoever. It measures 19 1/2" X 15 3/4" X 3/4 " deep. The needlepoint scene is of a homestead by a waters edge with lush trees and greenery all around the homes and the sky going from light blue to a dark blue. It appears to be an early fall scene because the trees show both green leaves and some orange and brown. The trees and shrubbery are reflected in the body of water at the front of the work. This work is in very good condition with no faded or missing threads, holes or tears. It does appear that there are a few spots, one above the tree in the upper left corner and a few in the lower left half about 1" up from the bottom. I have not tried cleaning, I will let the purchaser decide how to handle this. When framed, it was not covered in glass so there is no glass now. There is a wire on the back for hanging. The time, skill and artistry that it took to complete this work is very impressive. It is a work to be admired and appreciated for years to come.
