The quintessential 1950s rhodium plate rhinestone baguette earrings by Ledo. Top quality made, the swirl style clip earrings are set with precisely sized baguette rhinestones to conform to the earring's shape. The inner swirl adds more sparkle with chaton rhinestones. The earrings measure about 1 1/2 inches x 3/8 inch to 5/8 inch at their widest point.
Condition is excellent vintage. All components original and intact. All stones retain clean, clear brilliance. No dark, cloudy or dead stones. All rhodium plate intact, front and back. Earring clips strong and secure. No damage / no repairs.
One of the original earring clips is signed "Ledo" in script. The other earring is not signed but is a definite part of this pair. Ledo changed it's name to Polcini around 1960. The Ledo mark was used from approximately 1948 to 1963. The company ceased operations sometime in the 1970s.
