Unsigned Selro to be sure. Check out the front and back. Peruse the wonderful Selro / Selini websites. Your research will bring you to the conclusion that there is no doubt this marvelous three piece parure is by Selro. Huge oval confetti embedded lucite cabs are multi prong set in heavy pewtertone metal, surrounded with light blue rhinestones. Deliberate. Dynamic. Dramatic. Selro excelled at creating jewelry with a purpose -- strong statements with no apologies. Finding a full parure as pictured that is an original match, not mated or married in top notch condition is a rare treat.
The parure includes the necklace, adjustable from about 15 inches to 18 inches with typical end charm and hook style closure. The three station panels, including fancy end flourishes spans approximately 7 inches x 1 1/4 inches x 7/16 inch. The matching five station bracelet with original fold over clasp is approximately 7 1/2 inches x 1 3/4 inches x 7/16 inch. Completing the parure are the clip earrings, at about 1 1/2 inches x 1 inch at their widest point.
Condition is excellent vintage. All components intact. Construction is correct with characteristic Selro materials and workmanship. All rhinestones intact and brilliant, retaining icy blue color. (Rhinestones are a lighter shade of blue than photo shows.) Silvertone finish has mellowed into a rich, soft, pewtertone patina. Lucite cabs original and intact. All retain their confetti (pale blue chips with silvery glitter and dark tracings or striations.) Bracelet clasp and earring clips strong and secure. All soldering secure. No damage / no repairs. This parure hails from the 1950s and has been worn and appreciated. It will not appear brand new. That said, it is the quintessential Selro set with all the bells and whistles that make it a hit with collectors and aficionados alike. ALthough unsigned it is guaranteed to be made by the Selro firm.
