Antique French Sterling Silver Dessert Serving Set Flatware w/Presentation Box

This is an exceptional Antique French Sterling Silver Dessert Serving Set finely created by Edouard ERNIE, an important silversmith active in Paris 1882-1902. This fabulous set is comprising 4 serving pieces for dessert, or Hor d'Oeuvres, including Sugar Sifter (or Olive Spoon,) Serving Fork, Serving Knife and Pâté or Foie Gras Server. All the pieces are wholly made of finest quality French sterling silver 950/1000 purity, and the blade/bowl part has elegant vermeil finish (gold-washed over sterling.) You'll appreciate the workmanship that went into these exclusive pieces! Each pieces are hand engraved intricate foliage design and finely cutted and pierced in unique shape on the blade/bowl. The handles have very unique and unusual shape of branch, showing great details and exceptional artistry.

It is the best quality sterling silver in the world, higher than standard 925 sterling. As maker's mark we have that of "Edouard ERNIE", 7 rue Reaumur, worked in Paris between 1882-1901. This handsome Dessert Serving Set is in Excellent Condition as age, less than usual light scratch marks from long years of light use. The vermeil is still vivid and richly presented. It is gently hand polished and clean, ready for service.

I will add an antique presentation box to this fabulous Dessert Serving Set - It is not original to the set, but I found it's match and will protect the item clean, unharmed and together. The measurements of the box is 6" (15cm) x 8" (20.3cm) x 1 1/2" (4cm). Weight total 14.6 oz (415g.)
