This large Coin Silver Fiddle ladle by Hyde & Nevis is simple elegance! The Hyde & Nevins Silver Company-1798-1819 in New York is a very well respected maker of fine silver and is represented in such museums at the Metropolitan of Art. Hyde went on to form the Hyde & Goodrich Co., of New Orleans. Marked on back as seen in picture, the large Fiddle pattern is label is 14" in length, with a large serving cup of app-3 1/2" x 4 1/2"-this is a large, beautiful 200 year old ladle that deserves to be loved and used, so if you want to melt it-walk on by!
