This attractive table made in India was one of the two items from my mother-in-laws collection. She is the namesake of our company, her name was Diane. This is one of those items she picked up while in India.
The pictures will show all the intricate amount of detail that was hand carved into these pieces of furniture, often floral or animal motifs. This table's motif is floral and oak leaf designs. These were also known as occasional tables.
The table top is made to attach to the folding decorative stand and it is approximately 12 to 13 inches across the center has a unique floral inlay design usually of bone or polished stone.
The stand has three highly decorative legs of lovely oak leaves and some floral mix and stands approximately 13 inches high. The widest areas of these ornate legs are 4 1/2 to 5 1/2 inches wide.
There are a just a few scratches on the table top sides and the top is a little darker in some places than the stand. There are also three pieces of inlay missing, but the set is otherwise in near perfect condition.
This table dates back to the early 1900's, possibly before 1930 as did her other table which had similar oak leaf designs.
