We have another fabulous Whiting & Davis enameled purse with colorful floral designs, called the Dresden. The style was named after the German inventor who created the machinery , that makes the fine mesh which feels more like silk than metal. This process can be found in "Purse Masterpieces" by Lynell Schwartz pages 83 - 85.
A masterpiece is an apt description for this handbag, that features a mixture of delicate pink and light blue flowers adorned with green leaves & reddish brown stems all placed on a off white background. The artisans put many hours into the decorative silver tone frame.
The purse measures 5" L x 6" W and it has some wear for it's age with no stains. The lining is no longer there, but there are no tears or separation from frame except near hinges. Enjoy the many pictures of the purse, which shows off all of the vintage appeal & company stamp into the frame.
This purse is a must for any serious Whiting & Davis or vintage handbag collector. We welcome any questions or comments. All reasonable offers will be considered.
Due to the age and collectable nature of these purses we are only shipping Priority Small Flat Rate Box. Insurance is required and is the responsibility of the Buyer. The first $50.00 is covered by US Postal Service. Please contact our site if there are any further questions.
