Sylia Clark and Wanda Styron “68” Mid Century Ceramic Lidded Bowl

Mid Century Modern Studio Pottery by Sylvia Clark & Wanda Styron 1968 For your consideration, a massive bunt covered pot by Sylvia Clark and Wanda Styron (Unicorn Pottery, CA), signed "Clark Styron 68". The bowl measures 11" in diameter and is 5 ½" tall to the top of the lid and weighs 8 lbs. This two-piece set features incised geometric patterns on a dark olive mat glaze. The inside of the pot is glazed in a deep blue glaze, as is the inside of the lid. Both pot and lid are in excellent condition with no cracks, though there is one large chip to the inside of the pot (see photo). During the 1960s and 1970s, in California, Sylvia Clark and Wanda Styron created exquisite art pottery in their studio known as Unicorn Pottery.
