Measuring 4 ½" tall, 5 ¼" in diameter and weighing 2 ½" lbs, this vintage hand blown studio glass bowl was found in Humboldt County, in Northern California. Signed "Arnold 71" it most probably the work of a local glass blower. The bowl is a beautiful blue color with interesting flowing lines to the bowl's mouth and is noteworthy for its controlled bubbles and free form aesthetics. The 1960s and 1970s were a time of experimentation and exploration of the arts, and northern California was an important environment for the vital art world at that time.
