This free form glass bowl is unsigned, but its light sommerso lavender color within clear glass, organic free form shape, and age, all attest to its probable creator, Archimede Seguso (though it could possibly be the work of Flavio Poli). This exquisite bowl, most certainly Italian, measures 6" in diameter, 3 1/8" tall and weighs 2 ½ lbs. The bowl is wonderful when viewed from every angle and the subtle shade of lavender is stunning. The piece is in excellent vintage condition with no chips or defects, and only the usual vintage wear to its base, which attests to the bowls age. Most probably circa 1950's and a perfect addition to your collection of mid-century art glass.
