19th Century Victorian Art Nouveaux Velvet and Sterling Photo Album
This exceptional late 19th century gray velvet photo album measures 11" x 8 ½' x 2 ½" , with 16 double sided pages. Noteworthy is its unusually ornate 3 3/8" x 2 ¼" latch assembly in the Art Nouveaux style. The album's velvet is in excellent condition with no tears or damage, the latch works smoothly, and the sterling silver "K" is, likewise, in excellent condition. The 16 double-sided pages show extensive wear and damage to some of the pages, while others are undamaged (see photos). The album's spine is damaged, though the book still is structurally functional. This exceptional album looks wonderful in any environment- from traditional to mid-century!
