This fine mid-century work by one Japan's most well known artists is created on heavy hand-made paper/board and measures 26cm x 24cm. It is in excellent condition, save for a scratch to the paintings surface (repairable, see photo). The base paper exhibits a buff-brown color. Jiro Takidaira was born in Ibaragi, Japan in 1921, and was soon influenced by the moku-hanga (woodblock print) movement.
