For your consideration, a pair of early 20th century porcelain candle holders. This circa 1924 set measures 7 ½" tall, with 4 7/8" diameter base and a 3" diameter top. Created in white porcelain with a gradated bone white to powder blue hand-painted glaze, the floral motif is skillfully painted, as is the gold inner accents. The base is stamped with "RCW Bavaria" and are incised with the numbers "1/9291" in addition to Bavaria RCW triangle mark. Most intriguing is the signature "Hoffman" and "Xmas 1924." found signed on the base; this could be the artist who painted the piece, or a dedication of some sort. The candle-holders are in good vintage condition save for chips to the rim of the holder's tops (see photos). A very elegant set.
