Fantastic Signed Large Painted Antique Japanese Copper Kettle

This is an elaborately embossed and painted Japanese copper kettle used in traditional tea ceremonies. It was likely made in the early 1900s or late 1800s. As the pictures show it is signed on the underside of the lid but I can't read Japanese so it could be something else. If someone is kind enough to translate I will be happy to add the information to the description.

Size -- This kettle is very large measuring 14 inches high including the handle and 10.5 without the handle and the diameter of the bottom is 9 inches. Measuring the width from the outer edge of the handle to the spout is approximately 11.5 inches.

Condition -- As the pictures show the flapper on the spout is missing. There are some small cracks and it does have a few pinholes so water leaks. Also, the lid has a ding in it. But overall the kettle is in good condition for its age and the design more than makes up for any condition issues.
