This is a rare vintage set of 4 footed cups and saucers (TAT4) in a Blue Laurel pattern by Tatler of Trenton. It has a cream color with blue laurel leaves and a gold band trim. Three of the saucers are marked "Made Expressly for Richard Briggs China Co., Boston, Mass." Likely from the 1930s-40s time frame. A very nice set and very hard to find! Pieces for this pattern are extremely hard to find which is evident when the well known replacement company has hardly any pieces in stock. I was able to get this at a good price allowing me to pass on the savings to you.
Size -- saucers measure 4.5 inches across and the cups stand 2-1/4 inches high and the bowl of the cup is 2-3/4 wide not counting the handle.
Condition -- all the saucers are in excellent condition. One cup does have a hairline which I show, but the other 3 cups are great. The gold trim is good but there may be some fading in areas. This is a hard set to find and overall a real beauty.
