Vintage Trifari Coronet Necklace from 1950 - Designed by Alfred Philippe

The necklace is marked Trifari Pat Pend. In the book, Collecting Costume Jewelry 202 by Julia C. Carroll, the design is called Coronet on page 186. On that page it is shown in green rhinestones. The patent for the necklace is number 160427. It was issued to Alfred Philippe on 10/10/50. The silver-tone setting is set with clear rhinestones. The rhinestones are bright and sparkly. There are no missing rhinestones. The necklace measures 14 1/2 inches long and 3/4 inch wide at the center front. It has a fold over clasp. I hope the picture shows how pretty this piece is. This necklace is vintage. Thanks for looking.
