Primitive Old Hand Carved & Painted Folk Art Pig Toy on Wheels

Darling hand carved primitive old wooden pig toy likely brought great joy to a child at the turn of the 20th century, and still brings delight today. Possibly Pennsylvania Dutch, it's completely hand carved (even the wheels!), and hand painted in tempera or buttermilk paint. It has adorable "club" shaped spots, a heart-shaped spot on its nose, applied ears and a painted tail. Sports a painted harness, platform and wheels, and is reminiscent of a circus or carousel animal. Just adorable!

Unsure of maker. I'm guessing from the early 1900s.

Some paint loss and chipping, as well as some cracks to the wood. In remarkable condition, given its age and function.

7 1/4" tall x 11 1/4" long x 5 1/4" wide.
