OLD Hand Painted Redware Pottery Tlaquepaque, Mexico Covered Casserole Chicken

Enormous 1930s Tlaquepaque, Jalisco, Mexico hand painted redware chicken covered casserole features a completely hand-formed body and lid, with colorful decoration. Done with a butter yellow base, with darker yellow, blue, green, rust, and dark brown details. Lightly glazed, with heavier glaze on the inside. Very charming, and very large!

Overall, in very good condition, with only a few scuffs/paint loss here and there. Minor wear and aging, but no cracks. Has 2 chips; one by one of the handles, and a small chip on the underside. See photos.

Measures 14" long x 12" tall x11 1/2" wide.
