1920s German Hertwig Snow Baby Doll Pair, One on Sled

Use the Offer feature for an immediate 20% off is available for this doll on Special 3-Day Sale! Here are some treasures fresh from a fine Texas Hill Country estate. They were originally purchased in the small country general store that served Johnson City ( home of former President LBJ) and had remained with the little girl who found them in her Christmas stocking back in the 1920s, until now.

The Hertwig company of Germany manufactured these snow baby doll figures. They are utterly adorable, marked Germany and have lots of good snow and flesh colored faces. These have always been together and as such are an uncommon treasure. The two figures in this pair each measures a little over approximately 2". They were of course made in the 1920s. They are snowed on their entire bodies other than their faces, hands and feet, just as they should be to add to the winter wonderland look of them.

There are some few small rubs, mostly on high areas that have been rubbed but the faces have very nice fine detail. The little fellow on his sled is particularly precious!

Any other doll or accessory items used for display are not included in this offering, unless otherwise specified.
