Mid-Century Modern Black Plush Poodle Dog Transistor Radio in Tummy 2
We knew we had another Mid-Century Modern 1950s Black Plush and possibly mohair poodle with a transistor radio in his tummy. He is such a fun piece of Kitsch that may bring back memories. He is in excellent condition, like he was found at a shop during time-travel! His black plush and short very dark chocolate brown coat that may be mohair is perfect and his golden tone collar, chain and silver tone zipper have no tarnish. He has his own original perfect red tongue, brown glassene eyes, and black plastic or bakelite nose. There is a heavy card tag that is under his control knobs, that notes " 6 transistor" then on the left side notes "Vol( OFF" and on the right side "TUN ) Japan". His blue radio is in his tummy and it is possible that it may still work with a change of batteries (but I do not know this for sure), since everything else about him is so pristine. The blue plastic or bakelite casing for the transistor radio says in a logo: "VISION" then: "6 Transistor Range 540-1610 KC Battery BL -006P 9 v". No battery acid stains or burns. He is approximately nine and one half inches ( 9 1/2") long by approximately nine inches (9") high, and approximately four and one half ( 4 1/2") inches wide at his widest point. He is a great decorating accent piece, or adorable posed with other collectors dolls and/or toys. He is a Charmer!
