This breathtaking antique molded hair blond bisque shoulderhead with a variation of the Highland Mary type hairdo with bangs is very large at approximately twenty-six inches (26") tall. Her head alone measures approximately six and one half (6 1/2") inches. This lovely doll has such deep and defined sculpting, that she can only be described as a "first from the mold" example. Her hair is so well carved in the sculpting of deep waves, that have such deep comb marks, and even some stray and random brush stroked hairs, that she really needs to be posed by a mirror, so all of her wonderful attributes can be justly admired. She has such glorious Alice-Blue eyes, with a well molded shape, with her look directed heavenward, one supposes in prayer. Her eyes have the highlights painted to accent the iris, red lines over the eyes, nose and eye dots and a deep red line between the lips. So very pretty! She has incredibly deep long cheeks that lend so much character and beauty to her face. Her full mouth is sculpted with such definition with parted lips, and her typically beautiful rosy and lively complexion is a Kling hallmark. Although she is not marked Kling, and does not have the Kling bell mark, she is marked with a known Kling mold number 204 and 10 and has the unmistakable Kling look and fine quality. Her bisque shoulderhead has a teeny burst kiln bubble, that probably occurred in the manufacturing, in her bangs ( I did not see it til I reviewed the zoomed pix), no hairlines, chips or cracks and no repairs nor restorations. She is on her original albeit rather worn horsehair stuffed cloth body, which has some patching to the upper cloth arms and has original red cloth legs with made on cloth boots and her original leather arms and hands (a left arm tear was sealed above her wrist). She does not leak, nor does she have any odors. Her well made original clothing consists of her original, beautiful green and brown plaid drop waist cotton dress which buttons up the front and has self-cuff detail on the long sleeves; she has an antique petticoat of white cotton with button waist and lace and pintucks at the hem, and pantelettes of white cotton that have broderie anglaise lace at their hems. All clothing clean and is both hand sewn and home sewing machine sewn, and is antique with inherent light staining and a very few scattered tiny moth nips. She is ready to proudly display in your collection.
