Vintage Wood New Mexico Primitive Folk Art Painted Offering Box Miniature Chest

Here is a rustic, primitive hand made and hand painted Vintage Wood Folk Art Painted Offering Box or miniature chest, from New Mexico, from the early 1900s - 1930s. It is quite rustic, with the hand painted cottage or church surrounded by trees, next to a lake with bushes around it within the hand painted scene and the hand cut coin slot on the lid, that somewhere along the way was nailed shut to secure it from prying fingers! The hand painted top and wood finished sides are scuffed and worn from great use. It has the following dimensions: approximately six and three quarters inches (6 3/4") long, approximately four and one quarter inches (4 1/4") wide, and approximately three and three quarter inches (3 3/4") high. It could work as an object of vintage folk art display, or in a vignette of primitive Southwestern items, as a bank or even as a miniature trunk to be displayed with primitive antique and vintage dolls ( which is how we have displayed the piece!) Only the box is for sale.
