Antique Blue Silk Furisode Kimono with Gold Embroidery and Hand Painted Details.

The pastel blue background has a typically Art Nouveau stylized self pattern of bows and flowers. This is over-patterned with exquisite Magnolia blossoms, Lily-of-the-Valley flowers and daisies, Maple leaves and Pine trees in a variety of shades of green, blue, Geranium pink, yellow and white. All detailed with hand painting and gold embroidery!

The lovely colors are as bright and fresh as the day the lovely garment was made a century ago. A true work of art.

The fabulous long sleeves add to the over-all beauty of the Furisode.

The Furisode has not been dry cleaned and apart from a slight stain on the shoulder/collar is in very good Antique condition, with no tears or shattering to the beautiful silk crepe.

The simple cream silk lining has all-over age spotting, especially where it has been folded and stored, but is completely intact with no tears or shattering. The lining can be completely removed and replaced should you wish to wear the Furisode, and will not be visible if displayed against a wall.

Kimono traditionally have no labels or sizing, but the measurements are..Entire Width (sleeve-tip to sleeve-tip) 50", Body Width 25" and Full Length 61".

Kimono of this quality, with so much gold embroidery and hand painting are becoming extremely rare.
