Embroidered Child's Green Silk Kimono with Falcon, Clouds and Gold and Silver Hand Painting.

Dating to the 1970's it is made from Rinzu (silk/satin). The background is an all-over self pattern of clouds in graduating shades of green, from deepest green through blue/green and pale aqua to cream.

On this amazing background has been embroidered a large Falcon bird in silver and gold thread with black, orange and cream highlights. He holds an orange colored sash, complete with tassel, in his talons. His massive wing-span covers the entire back and part of one sleeve. He is nestled in a landscape of reeds, hand painted in gold, with the ocean and Mount Fuji in the background.

The Kimono has not been dry cleaned and apart from some slight soiling to the collar is in very good Vintage condition.

Traditionally Kimono bear no makers label or sizing, but the measurements are..Entire Width (sleeve tip to sleeve tip) 36 1/4", Body Width 13 1/2" and Length 39 1/3".
