Vintage 50s Cocktail Party Sheath Wiggle Dress in Black Silk Satin Jacquard - Size L

The fabric is a high quality medium weight silk satin with a repeating woven pattern of Asian symbols in black as pictured.

The color is a deep jet black - I have lightened several of the photos to show you the details of the style and fabric.

This is a sheath dress with diagonal front bust darts and long vertical darts in the front and back for a shapely fit.

The cap sleeves are cut from the same fabric as the dress meaning there are no separate sleeve seams.

Does up the center back with a long metal which is stitched in by hand.

There are 8-1/2" tall finished walking slits on each side of the skirt.

The skirt is completely lined with lightweight black silk - the bodice is unlined.

DESIGNERS LABEL:

None as this is a custom made dress with hand finished details.

CONDITION:

Near Mint ~ No stains, odors, fading, discoloration, rips, snags, holes, or tears.

Gently worn and very well cared for. Freshly dry cleaned and ready for you to wear.

Based on the measurements below, I'd say this could best be worn by a modern size Large.
