NEAPOLITAN Balded Man Painted Terracotta And Wood CRECHE Figure

This is a LATE 18TH/EARLY 19TH CENTURY Creche figure, probably created for a noble home. With the details of his elaborate silk clothing gives proof of his once holy splendor. He has a classic Neapolitan face with molded brown balding hair, glass eyes, anguished expression, carved wood figure, standing with hands expressively posed. He has painted and gesso wooden head, arms, and legs, and body molded with hemp stuffing. Figure 10 1/2 inches tall and is missing a fingers on his left hand.

I have over 30 Creche Figures and would entertain a lot offer on them all. They have been together for so very long and I would be thrilled to keep them together. Email me for exact lot specifications. Only serious and respectful offers Please.
