This is a very elegant LATE 18TH/EARLY 19TH CENTURY Creche figure, probably created for a noble home. Today the detail of his elaborate clothing is proof of his once holy splendor. He has a classic Neapolitan face with molded black hair and mustache, glass eyes, regal expression, carved wood figure, standing with hands expressively posed. He has painted and gesso wooden head, arms, and legs, and body molded with hemp stuffing. Figure 14 inches tall and is missing part of his finger on his right hand.
I have over 30 Creche Figures and would entertain a lot offer on them all. They have been together for so very long and I would be thrilled to keep them together. Email me for exact lot specifications. Only serious and respectful offers Please.
