This a LATE 18TH/EARLY 19TH CENTURY Creche figure, probably created for a noble home. Today the remnants of her handmade silk and cotton habit with corded trimming is proof of her holy splendor. She has an Italian pretty face with glass eyes, sweet pious expression, carved finely molded figure, standing with hands expressively posed with a cherry in her right hand. She has painted and gesso wooden head, arms, and legs, and body molded with hemp stuffing. Figure is 25" tall I have over 30 Creche Figures and would entertain a lot offer on them all. They have been together for so very long and I would be thrilled to keep them together. Email me for exact lot specifications. Only serious and respectful offers Please.
