A rare little 7-1/2" tall hard plastic Hiawatha Indian doll with his original box, and it was only produced for one year in 1966 by the Madame Alexander Doll Co. It has long straight black hair, bending knees, a brown skin tone, and brown sleep eyes. It comes dressed in brown leatherette trousers and tan vest with a triple strand beaded necklace, decorated woven loin cloth and headband. His leather shoes also have beading and he carries a tiny decorated bow with a wire string. He is marked "Alex" on his back, while his costume is tagged "Hiawatha", Madame Alexander, New York". He was so hard to find after the Alexander Co. discontinued making him, that because of his rarity, he sold for $675 in June of 1982. He is complete and in very good condition, and is hardly ever offered for sale. Feel free to email me with any question's.
