Vintage primitive style painting of The Pond in Winter by Mary Ann Rugh Baker "Mrs. B"
Influenced by her own rich American heritage and fond recollections of times spent at Grandma's house, several years ago she acted upon a sudden urge to paint scenes from the early 1900's in the charming primitive style. Her paintings met with immediate enthusiasm, and since they were vastly different from her other work, she adopted a new identity and her unique signature which includes a painted bee. Now a widow, she lives with the family dog, Lucy (which appears in every Mrs. "B: painting), in the same house that she shared with her two daughters and her artist husband, Eugene Ames Baker. The paintings of Mrs. "B" glow with the essence of delight.
This beautiful picture called The Pond in Winter was professionally framed by Gallery One of Mentor, Ohio, that is signed and numbered. The picture is signed by the artist Mrs. "B".
