Old Cast Iron Horse & Buggy Carriage w/removable Man and Lady figurine

Here is a great old toy cast iron horse & Buggy carriage. It has removable man and lady figurines. We think this driver is a little smitten for his passenger, but he is a little shy. He decides he is going to serenade her, but she is playing hard to get and jumps back into the carriage. There are two white prancing horses and a two seat carriage with yellow spoke wheels. The carriage detaches from the horses. The gold colored chains look as though they have been replaced. The reins that the driver is holding has been cleverly made out of a shoe string. Who ever use to play with this in the old days was pretty creative. Some of the paint is worn off of the figurines over the years, but overall it is in good condition for it's age, but does need a good cleaning. It measures l0 1/2" long, 4" wide x 4 1/4" tall. It weighs 3 lbs. l oz. This would make a great addition to a cast iron toy collection or a great display item in your home. Thank you for visiting our shop!!!
