This old table top has a finely painted trompe le oil decoration. It adds sophisticated architectural interest in any room and was probably painted sometime around 1920-40. It has a demi-lune shape and was hand painted with a delicate garland of leaves along the outer edge. Background paint is a light grey green. The leafy garland has sage and jade green leaves.
Measures approximately 11 inches x 24 1/2 inches. As you can see there's quite a bit of age on this piece. The surface is crazed and the back has a dark patina. The top had metal legs at some point but those are long gone and there are holes where they were attached (does not effect the front).
