Vintage Vernon Kilns Monterey - Bread & Butter Plate

Out of a recently discovered treasure trove of Vernonware collectibles, this unused Bread & Butter plate has been in storage for 60 years. This item, in the Monterey pattern, was manufactured by Vernon Kilns between 1942 and 1950 on the Melinda shape. The 6 1/2" plate has an off-white background with a hand-painted, embossed border made up of philodendron leaves in maroon-red and blue. The mark says, "Under Glaze Hand Painted, Monterey, Vernonware, California U.S.A." All pieces are in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or repairs. Price is for one Bread & Butter plate.
