Snuff box

This is a snuff box, of deer hoof, and pewter. It would have belonged to an ordinary man, not very fancy, as the gentry carried. The bottom is hinged. It is 2" tall at it's tallest point - the tip of the hoof. The pewter bottom is 2 and 1/2 " long,and 5/8" tall, to the hoof top. Condition is very good. Circa first third of the 19th. century. Shipping and insurance is included in the price.
