This treen apple corer is interesting for more than one reason. It is entirely hand carved, from a single piece of wood. I believe it is sycamore. The carver was skilled, just look at those nicely carved, decorative holes all around in two rings. A small octagon shape carved below each.He also followed the woods natural bend. A true piece of functioning folk art. About the last third of 19th. century. It is 6 and 1/8 " long. At it's fattest 7/8". A beautiful piece of treen. Shipping and insurance is included in the price.
