20th C. Southern Ring Flask w/ Native American Visages

Offered by Yellow Garage dealer Olde South Jersey Glass is this alkaline glaze Southern redware ring flask possibly from South Carolina. The flask features two applied loops with a string handle. The loops terminate in for unique faces that appear to be Native American Indian faces. The flask is a bit of a mystery as far as age but our guess is that it was made sometime in the mid 20th Century. A really folky piece of Southern redware.

MEASUREMENTS: 12" in diameter including spout. Spout flares to 1 3/4" in dia.

CONDITION: Small loss around mouth of one face as shown. A few glaze imperfections. Overall very good condition.
