1899-1918 Porcelain Hand-Painted Vienna Austria Plate Ernst Wahliss

This is a beautiful 8 5/8" plate from the Ernst Wahliss factory of Vienna Austria. It is hand-painted & artist signed on the front. It features a lovely purple fading to pale blue lustery background with beautiful white flowers.

There are holes in the back to attach a string or wire for hanging but they are upside down. This lovely plate has minor surface wear to the paint & gilding. There is a spider crack to the glaze on the back, but this does not affect the front at all.

It is numbered on the back "9139" & is marked "Hand painted". It has a red backstamp "Vienna Austria" which was used by the Ernst Wahliss factory from 1899 to 1918.
