Exquisite Chelsea Style Antique Porcelain Dresser Box Casket Bocage Garland

This is a gorgeous antique porcelain casket. It has hand-painted scenery featuring birds on both the front & the back. It has a beautiful applied single rose with stems & leaves on the lid. The entire box is covered with a bocage of tiny little blue porcelain flowers & further decorated with a surrounding garland of pink porcelain flowers.

This absolutely stunning dresser box has lots of hand-painted gilt accents.

It is in very good antique condition with some chipped petals on the rose & one leaf, possible microscopic chips on the tiny flower petals. There are other chips & small firing cracks as shown in the pictures. The bottom of the box has six depressions which are possibly firing marks. There are some signs of age such as minor glaze crazing on the inside of the lid, etc.

This box was passed down from a family member who stated it is Chelsea & from England, but there is no marking on the box itself & I cannot be certain of this. It is similar to Meissen, Dresden, German schneeballen, & French porcelains of the same time period.
