This is the most dramatic dressing table mirror I have seen and may be from the art deco era. It definitely reeks of Hollywood Regency style with its gilt and eglosime frame. The wooden outer frame consists of an inset mirror reverse painted in a gold and black scrolled leaf pattern which separates gilt cartouches at the top and bottom and oval mirror insets on the left and right. It then surrounds another inset mirrored frame. It is absolutely gorgeous! I am not sure of the age, but it probably dates from around the 1930s-50s.
The frame is in very good condition with little wear to the gilt. The only noticeable spots are some rubbing on the bottom cartouche and a 1/8" long spot on the right side of the frame. Please see photos. The edges of the frame do show some wear commensurate with age. The mirror is a replacement mirror.
The frame measures 16" x 13 3/8" and is 1 3/8" wide and 3/4" deep. The mirror opening is 13" x 10 1/4"
