Aesthetic Silverplate Teapot or Coffee Pot

This is a beautiful teapot from the aesthetic period with flowers and birds in raised relief. There is no maker's mark, but this teapot is truly a pleasure to behold and shines up easily. The lid opens and closes easily and is just the slightest bit loose. It measures 7" tall, 10 1/4" at its widest point, 5 1/2" in diameter, and the base is 4 1/4" in diameter.

The teapot is in good condition, only light surface scratching. The interior of the pot is discolored which is to be expected on a piece of this age and the inside rim is a bit rough. There is a very small dent on the top of the handle (visible in one of the photos). Also, it is possible that some repair may have been done to the hinge a long time ago, but i am not sure of this -- it is not noticeable unless you turn the teapot over. Please see the last photo for a closeup of this -- also note that that the surface area where a repair may have been performed is totally smooth as if it never occurred!

Nevertheless, this is truly one of the prettiest teapots I have seen and would make fabulous addition to a collection. Please let me know if you have any questions. And thanks for looking!
