Here is a well used, but quite beautiful pair of sterling silver brushes decorated in high relief with peonies, leaves and scrolls. In the center, they read 'Won by H. G. Warn, Portland, 12/25/10.' In addition each is marked sterling with the W and arrow silver mark belonging to the Webster Company which was founded by George K. Webster in 1869 in North Attleboro, Massachusetts.
As you can see they are in poor condition as they are dented on all sides and in the center cartouches where they are engraved. Also, the sterling handles are very loosely attached to the brushes. Note the reverse sides where there is some breakage to the bases and old silver paint where someone attempted a repair(?). The bristles, however, are in very good condition. They are still very attractive and are sterling so they might be a good candidate for a sterling or brush collection. Please email with any questions and thanks for looking!
