Westmoreland Roses and Bows Compote or Wedding Bowl with Lid
This is a vintage hand-painted Westmoreland wedding bowl with lid. It is truly beautiful and measures 8" tall and just over 4" square. It is quite heavy (2 1/2 lbs.) and in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or crazing. Westmoreland Specialty Company started out in Pennsylvania in the late 1800s (originating from the Specialty Glass Company). In the 1920s, the company started producing milk glass and eventually became of the finest producers of milk glass in the country.
