Gorgeous Tiger Oak Frame with Gesso and Brass Detailing

This is an absolutely beautiful tiger oak frame with a gesso floral border and brass accents at the center of each side. In addition, there is an egg and dart style border also composed of brass framing the picture. I am not sure of the age, but given the design it is probably Victorian, ca. 1900. The condition is very good, given its age. There are a few brass 'egg and dart' pieces missing from the lower left-hand corner below the glass and one piece missing from the top right above the glass. There are some 'scuffs' on the surface of the frame, which I believe is actually part of the natural grain of the wood, but I am not completely sure of this. Please check out the closeups to view this. I can send additional photos if you wish. The glass is not wavy, so it is likely replacement glass.

The frame measures 21 3/8" wide by 17 1/4" high and the opening for the picture is 12" x 16".
