Large Sarcophagus Form Tea Caddy

This rosewood tea caddy boasts three compartments, an ivory escutcheon and wonderful bun feet. Inside the hinged lid is satinwood parquetry, glass mixing bowl and two compartments (lining is intact). Overall, it is beautiful and in fair to good condition.

It measures 13 1/2" x 8 3/4" x 6" high at the top and 10 1/2" x 6" at the bottom. Please note the imperfections on the exterior -- the lid does not lay flat against the base; there is a crack above the left back bun foot and a crack on the top. There is a crack inside the top of the lid and cracks above and below the mixing bowl. On the exterior there is some wear to the edges of the base.
