Welcome to Mama Jo's House of Dolls where every doll comes with a surprise!
This beautiful geisha doll is from the 1950s-60s and is in a twisted position that causes her to lean to her right. Her silk kimono is gorgeous with just a little aging on the off-white, gold-specked under layer. Her face has a little boo-boo on her left cheek and the top of her lip on the left, probably the result of a jealous lover or envious geisha, but look at the way her hair is adorned. These dolls always amaze me with their intricate and imaginative execution. She's 15" tall and her black lacquer stand is another 1/2" tall.
