Welcome to Mama Jo's House of Dolls where every doll comes with a surprise!
This 1986 Princess Diana Danbury Mint Bride Doll is in mint condition. Not one tear or hole in her 7-1/2 foot tulle veil! Her beautiful taffeta train trimmed with lace and pearls measures 6-1/2 feet. (The display case she was photographed upon is five feet tall--photo #3.) She's 19" and made from imported bisque porcelain, hand-painted, and wearing an exact copy of her 1981 wedding gown right down to a scale reproduction of her 25 foot long train. Each pearl has been hand sewn. Both earrings and her tiara each contain a half-point diamond!
She still has the bubble wrap around her hardwood stand and legs. The rubber band on her right leg has come off and the two felt dots that go on the bottom of her right shoe have detached or were never on to begin with but are still with her. They can easily be attached.
Her insert envelope has not been opened. It contains her certificate of ownership which had each buyer's name typed on it. I'm assuming it either has my mother's name or my grandmother's. Mostly likely it's Mama Jo's. It also contains a color brochure full of statistics and background on the doll's creation and a letter from the Danbury Mint.
The box has a few noticeable tears in the paper inside, and a patch is missing on the front of it, covered by the white bow. Other than that, it's in great shape, no stains or water damage.
The perfect gift for the Princess Di lover on your list.
