Here is a beautiful Art Deco, Coro floral dress clip, dating to the late 1930’s. It measures 1 ½” wide by 1 ½” high and ½” deep and is marked Pat 1852188 on the clip back. This gold tone dress clip is designed as a 3-dimensional flower with black hand painted enamel petals and surrounded by black and green painted enamel leaves and clear, round, sparkly rhinestones complimenting the final color design. Dress clips are very versatile. They can be worn on pockets, collars, the neckline of blouses, dresses (as they were during the 30's and 40's) and t-shirts, as well as hanging over a velvet cord or a chain to make a beautiful necklace. It can be used to dress up a hand bag, belt or scarf as well. The clip back has firm spring-loaded mechanism that has a firm snap to it and is mechanically tight when closed. It is in very good vintage condition with all its original clear bright rhinestones and only one small spot at the top of the flower where the enamel edge is missing as seen in the pictures and being mentioned to be accurate. This rare high quality Coro dress clip would make a great addition to any woman’s jewelry vintage collection.
