Here is a gorgeous Art Deco signed Crown Trifari Alfred Philippe rhinestone duette dress clips pin combo dating to the 1930’s. It measures 3” long by 1 ¼” high and is Rhodium plated. This duette has over 100 round rhinestones and 2 baguettes that are all original to the piece. It is signed Crown Trifari and has a Patent number 2050804 and stamped CLIP-MATES on the back of the clips and the clip backs work perfectly and close firmly. They have a gorgeous swirly Art Deco motif design and can be worn as a pin or disassembled to create two fabulous dress clips. To remove the clips from the pin back frame you need grab the clips on both ends and gently pull outwards to slide both clips from the frame. To reassemble as a pin, reverse these instructions and slide each clip onto the ends of the frame towards the center to form the original Duette. Dress clips are very versatile; they can be worn on pockets, sweaters, coats, collars or the neckline of dresses as they were during the 1940’s. This rare Art Deco Duette dress clips pin combo is in very good vintage condition with a few of the rhinestones that have turned a little gray in color over time which is normal and consistent with age and use being mentioned to be accurate. This Duette clips pin combination is very rare, hard to find and would make a great addition to any woman’s rhinestone jewelry collection.
